On May 30th and June 1st I had my first two events using a PowerPoint presentation, giving a book talk, and creating room for discussion of my book Lessons in Disguise. What an exciting time to finally be sharing my novel with a growing circle of readers. I worked through the jitters of talking in front of an audience and felt, in the end, very satisfied with how they went and look forward to doing more of these events in the near future. The audiences contained people I knew as well as many who I didn't, so they felt both like home and like more challenging foreign landscapes at the same time. Being able to see friends and family in Rhode Island always brings joy and a sense of wellbeing into my heart. I thank all who came to these events for supporting less-known authors. Knowing there are people right now reading my book fills me with happiness.
For those who don't know me personally, I will say that because of health issues, as of today 7/4/17, I am still not fully recovered physically. This will not stop me, but it does slow me down out of necessity. The pictures here will tell most of the story.
